I am Chris Bishop, a Fire Artist / student based in Manchester. I am keen to
find work through out this year and beyond performing my arts to the masses
at festivals or other such great events.
I study Product Design and Technology.
I have been interested in my performing arts circus and dance for a couple
of years now, really enjoying what I’m doing and the people I’m getting to
meet.
I feel over this time I’ve really honed my skills and style. I have a
serious passion for dancing and the arts that I perform. Even now I am still
keen to practice 4 or 5 days a week. I originally started with my Zippo
lighter manipulation, and then desiring something more fiery with bigger
flames, I moved into practice of poi. After just a couple of months I moved
into fire poi and I picked up a staff. Nunchucks and double staff followed
as well as my development of my liquid dance and contact juggling.
I aim to become one of the worlds best and most diverse fire artist. I feel
that I am now on my way to this goal.
