| awesome gig amazing atmoshpere good venue, a hill of about 10 thousand people in the rain in delemere forest everyone was buzzing with energy good songs very muddy great fun brilliant experience glad it was raining! wouldnt have expected that from such an indie rock band More pics on flickr Phills review a long trek to the stage area through a muddy footpath. having to avoid slipping over and get mocked by a single aaa battery lol cant believe how big the field they're playing is. only expected a smallish sized venue loads of peeps around the hill, manage to get near front of stage. support act already on, the paddingtons. caught about 5 songs. sounded pretty good. bassist looks like the one from vandahls. actually had a similar sound to them too. the rain is chucking it down on everyone but it kinda gives a good atmosphere. really helped cool people down in the gig too. the charlatans time! they have their logo on a backdrop which is lit up purpule as they hit the stage tim burgess looked shocked at the amount of people they had here too, saying "oh my god" as he first looked out. a bunch of their hits near the start of the set including blackened blue eyes and love is the key everyone in a good mood throughout getting well into it, lots of jumping around throughout the set and things getting thrown around (toilet paper, drinks...umbrellas!) loads of cool ambient style bass and guitar solo sections in the charlatans set they did a couple of new ones which sounded great. looking forward to the next album nice lighting effects throughout, especially when the daylight went dimmer. was glad they did try again today, didnt expect it and a great track the only one i know and north country boy got the crowd going mad, as did the awesome finale sporsten green :-) that finished off a cracking gig with loads of good tunes, and then the treck outta the forest!  vids here: http://vids.myspace.com/index http://vids.myspace.com/index http://vids.myspace.com/index http://vids.myspace.com/index http://vids.myspace.com/index http://vids.myspace.com/index photos: Looooooooads of top quality pics on this site: http://www.medicatedandsedated http://www.medicatedandsedated http://www.medicatedandsedated |
