Phills review

Thursday 9th August 2007 - WA1 - The Vandahls and The Perrys
Very nearly didnt make it out. Thursday night is the worse night o the week
to be out late. But read vandahls were due on at 10 so headed out in hope to
catch em!
Very wierd walking into a completely dead WA1. Noone on the door, no money
to be paid. This was around 9pm
Met pete and vandahls in the lounge for a quick chat before heading to watch
the perrys.
Best performance yet from the perrys. Much better than the lounge a couple
of months back but WA1 seems to have much better sound. They shud have been
on main stage at the fesitval too. Getting to know their tracks a bit better
now too.
Bands started late so was beginning to think Id miss the vandahls. Luckily
they came on at 10:30. Kicked off with Well conncted. Really liking this
tune now. Good to see Losing what you love back in the set list after it was
missing last month. Still love that riff. A classic performance of Let Go.
Green Light Stop Light actually went ahead this time with no guy saying one
more song left lol. Had to dash before the end song but was a great
performance. Thought the sound was really good tonight. Maybe cos of nto
drinking alcohol my senses were in tact? lol
Was wierd being in WA1 on a thursday night. No drinking, no smoking and a
early night.
My god they didnt half plaster that WA1 sign on your arm tonight. I had a
fair few comments at work next day.... prob not as many as the guy who had
it on his face though lol
