Started out with a train into manchester.. 14:09 know its gonna be a good night when you hit the ale at that time! after a quick trip to the bank it was into grand central to start on the guinness! ..after a few a couple of the leeds crwew turned up, so we started on the ale once more and the discussion turned to wacken!

after some food we headed to the gig, where 3 inches of blood where playing! stood and talked to some other real metal fans in the bar and met some cool people! ran into julie too, from myspace. so we had a bit of a chat!

Opeth where immense.. i dunno what they played, but it was great! threw beer over a lot of people, shouted a lot.. headbanged and ended up in the pit a few times! once we where roughed up enough, it was onto post mortem, where the metal and beer consuming continued! ..at this stage its pretty much a blur.. but, jody smashed glasses on his head, we moshed. got covered in a lot of beer. and generally enjoyed ourselves! ..some good tunes too! after that, it was back to stefs, via the kebab shop, for some well needed rest!

haha wow early start for you! lucky bugger! i got into manchester at about 5 didnt i? cant remember lol. you were nicely tipsy by the time i got there and had pulled a couple of bearded ladies :P haha it was a more violent crowd for opeth than i expected! not as friendly as the tool, porcupine tree or riverside crowds. all gigs that i prefferred i've gotta say, but opeth were immense. joe will have head scars lol. glass after glass he smashed on his own heed haha. muppet. management nearly threw him out for beating up himself hahah. dimmu in postmortem! PANTERA! :D i think there was a korpiklaani one but im not 100%

Turned up in good time but qued at the wrong place for an hour, met some cool dudes in the q then we set off to the right venue. Saw rob at the bar as soon as i got in so it was straight on the beers and whiskeys. Went in as Devil driver were finnishing it looked a bit hectic in the pit. saw Pete et al and headed back to the bar. 2 pints in 20 seconds good work me. went back in for Opeth and got right to the front. Some kids were pushing everyone sideways so i nailed em and they stopped Opeth were awesome as ever and funny in between songs. More drinks, alot more. Arch enemy i dived in to the front and went abit mental. They were propa good too. The gig ends and we head to a club. Propa good music andf lots of drinking! Serpentine Offering mee and pete go ape, people stand back thinking wtf those guys doing lol. blood everywhere! what do we do now? Pete to bishs jod n rob to stephs. propa wrecked wandering round her flat in me boxers fall asleep in the hall way and get draggged back into stephs room cos her flat mates wouldnt want to see me in me kecks. Propa awesome night!!

hahahahah AN HOUR! in the wrong place hahah DOH! didnt u realise people werent queing for the opeth gig? haha muppet. haha trust rob to be at the bar as u were walkin in. he was there for most of the night i think haha. 2 pints in less than 20 seconds i reckon. it was just a guess haha. turned away and they were gone! the sign of joe laughing indicated that he had something to do with their dissappearance :P ahhaah the serpentine offering is amazing. love that song! hahahah great review jode.
